New Items!

Several new items are available in my etsy shop (click the post title above to whip over to the shop quickly) and I'll show you a couple here:

The Nook ereader case - an envelope that protects your Nook in transit, nicely cushioned and structured, it's available for $20.

Then I made some changes to the Posy Sock Sack, making it optional, of course, but if you'd like a zipper to close the bag, you may now have one!

She's still a single strap shoulder bag.

And you can order the pockets two ways: (1) in the traditional Posy flannels to protect your double points, or (2) in quilting cotton to use as a handbag (which I call a Rosy). You'll find this one on the etsy custom order called "Rosy-Posy."

(no change in price with this modification, still $39)

And there are a couple of new needle cases over there, too: a modified Oressa that is sized to hold 10-inch straight needles, and then a "travel needle case" named Ellie, for those of you who want to take a few of every time of needle with you when you go!

Please stop by soon, I'd love to visit with you!

Redesign of Oressa Double Point Case

Oressa is a lovely little needle case that holds double point needles and crochet hooks in your knitting bag.

But the thing that's been bugging me about it was that occasionally I'd lose a needle. So I decided it was time for a redesign:

The flap folds down nicely to cover the needles and hooks, and then when you roll it up, nothing falls out!

I made this Knitnana Oressa set for a lovely gal up north.

She was delighted...I must admit I like the set, and I don't wear those colors!

By the way, Oressa's price didn't increase at all with the improvement. She's still $25.

(And do note, we will be at the Star City Cat Show on January 22-23, 2011. I look forward to seeing you all there!)

Sidekick!

Have you ever wished for a fanny pack that didn't look like one? A small pouch that would hold critical items (hmm, maybe like yarn?) but not weigh you down?

Welcome the little Sidekick from Nana Sadie Rose...

Sidekick is a simple bag, with plenty of room inside for a skein of yarn - in fact, there are two sizes, one is approximately 8 inches across and 7 inches from top to bottom, the other is 9.5 inches wide and 7 inches from top to bottom. There are no pockets and no waist strap on these, either. Just little fabric ties you can use to attach Sidekick to your belt loops or around your belt. As with any of my items, and in keeping with the nature of handcrafted items, all sizes are approximate, please allow for subtle variation from one bag to the next.
Here it is, flattened. This particular bag isn't available, but I can create one especially for you, and others will be available in my Esty Shop soon!

Prices: small Sidekick $17; large Sidekick $20.

New Items! Wow!

The Teabird Spindle Bag is the most recent item I'd like to show you:

Nicely sized, generous even...15 inches high and 8.5 wide with enough structure to protect a spindle and such inside but not too much. (Not as much as a regular Nana Sadie Rose bag, for example). That green piece up at the top? That's a wristlet loop, the photo didn't do that justice obviously. The strap can be changed from a wristlet to a shoulder strap for an additional $3, and to a long, across-the-body strap for just $3 more. Base price of the wristlet bag is $27.

Completely lined, and lightly stiffened and cushioned for a bit of structure, but not as much as most Nana Sadie Rose bags...If you'd prefer a shoulder strap Teabird, please add $3 to the base price of the bag above, is you'd like an across the body strap on your Teabird, add $6 to the base price.

Looking for a drawstring bag?

These are basic as they come, but lovely and lined. No structure whatsoever! Use them as small project bags (you knitters and crocheters, you know who you are!) or perhaps to hold shoes in your suitcase? Again the size is right, 15" x 8.5" and all of Nana Sadie Rose's attention to detail.
$18

Nana Sadie Rose has another new accessory, just a "little something" - one that can easily coordinate to any bag you choose:

Key Fob Wristlets! A few are shown up there with an Altoids can for easy reference to size, but they're 1 inch wide (the key ring is an inch in diameter, too) and about 6 inches long overall. They'll hold lots of keys (and an emergency skein of sock yarn, if you're so inclined!) and either dangle from your wrist, or be easily located in the pockets of your Nana Sadie Rose bag.
$5.50
There are two sizes of baglets now, this is the newest:

5" wide, they're perfect for holding credit cards and those pesky "membership" cards we all collect. Or perhaps for stitch markers and needle caps, my good knitter friends?
$5
(the 7-inch size is great for cosmetics, or for whatever sundry you might need, and they're available for $7.50)

Do check for ready-mades in the Etsy shop, or visit the website for a custom order.

And if you have any questions at all, just let me know!

Star City Cat Show!

I do hope to see all my friends at the Star City Cat Show! It begins tomorrow and runs thru Sunday afternoon. I understand there are more than 250 cats registered, and I know the vendors as well stocked and looking forward to seeing all their good customers from the surrounding Roanoke area.

The Holiday Inn on Ordway Drive is the setting...that's right behind Channel 7 for those of you who know the area.

Be sure and stop by!

I've made the decision to discontinue the little backpack bag, Grace. As a result, those remaining in my stock will go at 50% off thru my etsy shop!

You can also see the last of the original-style of Posy Sock Sack, which I've also decided to eliminate from stock in this "inventory reduction sale."

So stop by soon, as at these prices, the few remaining bags will be gone before you know it!
